NDT brings local people and partners together to address the development challenges that matter to Northern Malawi.
Our story began in May 2019 as the Nyika Federal Union WhatsApp group. In July that year, a task force chaired by Pyoka Mfuni resolved to form Nyika Development Trust.
The Trust was incorporated under Malawi’s Trustees Incorporation Act on 9 September 2020. Today, our approach centres on community structures in districts and constituencies, working with government, other NGOs, and private companies.

Our work focuses on Chitipa, Karonga, Likoma, Mzimba, Nkhata Bay, and Rumphi. We welcome everyone who shares an interest in developing Malawi.
